Meet the Founder
You're probably wondering, "What's behind the VX?" VX is a term used both in the aviation industry and in cybersecurity. Well, Mario is an avid aviation enthusiast and a private pilot for over a decade. So when it comes to taking flight, defending the truth with digital data and defending against viruses in cyber security, the name fit perfectly from all angles, so it came naturally!

Mario has a passion for all things investigating, digital forensics, cyber technology, and professional instruction, bringing together both practical experience and education to his clients. Mario is a 17 year law enforcement veteran with experience in criminal investigations including homicides, sex crimes, crimes against children, and internet crimes. Mario is also experienced in digital forensics having managed the Denton County Criminal District Attorney’s Office Digital Forensic Lab where he supported 27 police agencies throughout 3 counties and has testified as an expert witness in multiple counties.
He has also served as Chairman for Mobile Device Forensics with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) which trains federal, state, local law enforcement and private examiners, and has served as a peer review coach, instructor and has presented in multiple conferences and training events.
Mario holds a Masters in Cyber Security and Information Assurance from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelors in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College. He also holds certifications in Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), IACIS Certified Mobile Device Examiner (ICMDE), CompTia Security +, and CompTia A+.
